Using an early pre-release build, on a PC with a mouse and keyboard, we were able to speak to the developers and then try one race as Alpine's team chief for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Once we'd explored the many different aspects of team management, we then took the helm for one race.
Bearing in mind the game is not yet complete, and we were only playing one small section, we were still mightily impressed. In fact, we're still thinking about how we could have implemented a better strategy!
F1 Manager 2022 is released on 30th August for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with five-day early access for digital pre-orders.
