Outrun 2 SPDX VS Xbox OR2 (Route B) - 288 GTO
9The PS3 & 360 versions of Outrun Online Arcade and the PC port of Coast 2 coast are arguably the best looking versions of the modern Outrun 2 variants, but how does the OG Xbox version of Outrun 2 compare to the Lindbergh version of Outrun 2 SPDX running in Teknoparrot?
Surprisingly well is the answer. The bloom effects which make such a noticeable difference between the Lindy version and PC port in the Outrun 2 goals are very much on a par here, in fact I go so far as to say that they actually look a bit nicer in the OG Outrun 2 on the Xbox, with the Deep Lake stage in particular having a nice pink hue to all the clouds in the sky.
The OG Xbox version is being played on a 360 here, which has the bonus of upscaling the game into HD, but does cause some noticeable frame rate ruder at times and occasionally can cause the transitions between stages to misbehave for a slit second or two, and you might find yourself driving through thin air.
