Outtakes: RIP Max (The Great Circus Mystery)
One of our earliest recording mishaps occurred, when we originally tried to do a playthrough of The Great Circus Mystery, the sequel to The Magical Quest on SNES. We initially started a recording of Castle of Illusion on Genesis, but Corey didn't get the controls and wasn't feeling it, so we decided to switch. For SOME dumb reason, the video was no longer recording when we switched games, but the audio recorded just fine. We didn't realize all we had was audio until Corey had beaten the entire game, probably a couple of hours later.
And that sucks too, because while the second playthrough we eventually put up was good, that original recording was gold. Corey was already spicy from his Illusion experience, and it just went from there. We were way funnier, and kept rolling with the Max jokes, etc. Here's the opening of that recording, with our audio (and the FIRST Max joke), set to some still images, just to give you an idea of how it even kicked off. Cheers!
