Overpass Custom Level: Tightrope Dancing
Don't look down~
-----
A song from the BreakQuest soundtrack that I wanted to tackle since it was around the 2 minute mark length-wise, like Overpass' main levels. Not to say that anything longer/shorter is bad, it just feels more likely to get accustomed to or something, meep. Also BreakQuest has a hecking great soundtrack, aaaaaaaaaa
The moment everything began coming together with this level I was like "wow, this is pretty hecked" and that was only because I use Middle Snap controls unless it's absolutely necessary to use Instant. It actually felt kinda...fun once I got used to the rapid left stick flicking on my controller? It just feels satisfying when you get the quick "left right left right" or "left middle right middle" kind of patterns, h-heh. Also the song's spooky so I guess the heckery's justified.
Going back to patterns, this may sound like nonsense or me tooting my own horn but I'm very glad that I swapped the positions of the patterns at 2:00 and 2:06 as before, it used to be the satellites, then the descending panels. Since the panels are way easier to read rhythm-wise than the cluster of satellites, I thought it'd be good to introduce the rhythm for 4 measures before having the satellites do their thing, which has now been made less ambiguous thanks to the opening panels, thank you for attending my TED-
Stroll through the rhythmic future with me~
