Overwatch: McCree Overview & Introduction! (Abilities & Lore)

McCree is one of the offensive assault Heroes in Overwatch. In this video I explain McCree's abilities, go over his story line and give a general introduction on the Hero and his playstyle. He shines at medium ranged and is one of the direct assault Heroes of Overwatch.
McCree's abilities:
- Peacekeeper (LMB) - Fires his revolver. Most effective at medium to long ranged.
- Peacekeeper (RMB) - Pulls the hammer and burst fires the revolves. Much less accurate but effective at short range.
- Combat Roll (Shift) - McCree rolls in any direction that he was moving and quickly reloads his weapon.
- Flashbang (E) - McCree throws a flashbang and stuns a target for a second. Can be used to cancel channeling skills.
- Deadeye (Q) - McCree's ultimate locks onto targets and takes them out in a single shot after a couple of seconds.
While McCree doesn't have as much mobility or as much health as his offensive counterparts, he is extremely powerful if you manage to hit your shots accurately. He has the potential for some of the highest damage output in the game and proper control of this Hero will make him extremely deadly. On top of that he has the potential to be picked as a counter to for example Reaper and Pharah with his Flashbang, while his Deadeye ultimate ability can wipe out the entire enemy time.
Jesse McCree was an outlow and part of the so called Deadlock Gang. The gang got busted however and McCree was given a choice and he decided to join Blackwatch, part of Overwatch. However, when Overwatch weakened, multiple members of Blackwatch wanted to turn over the organization. McCree didn't want anything to do with this, and decided to go underground instead. Several years later, McCree is now a gunslinger for hire. He only takes on jobs that he feels like are just.

Overwatch is an upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter in development by Blizzard Entertainment. Unveiled on November 7, 2014 at BlizzCon, the game emphasizes cooperative gameplay using a cast of various "heroes", each with their own abilities and roles within a team. The game is scheduled to enter a closed beta phase in the fall of 2015.
