Overwatch: PC Gameplay #82 (3v3 Elimination Session #1)
1This is my first video of the live Sombra patch, after some of the previous ones were of its PTR build.
That patch came with other new features, too, such as an Arcade mode with several of its own modes.
In 3v3 Elimination, as the name implies, both teams only have 3 players each instead of the usual 6. You're all sent to a new map called Antarctica, based on where Mei was before a polar storm struck and killed everyone in cyrostasis except for her.
The goal of this mode is to eliminate the enemy team in matches of best 3 out of 5. The difference here is that there are no health packs and no respawning. So unless you or one of your teammates can heal, any damage you take during the match is permanent, and once you die, you stay dead for the rest of the match.
If a match takes too long, the remaining players will be able to see each other through walls, and have a short amount of time left to kill each other before the round ends in a draw.
Also, if you did die, the game will still let you keep an eye on your remaining teammates and talk to them in chat to hopefully give them advice. You can even switch between 3rd-person view and 1st-person view with the teammate.
It goes without saying that self-healers like Roadhog benefit from this mode, a lot, but with some effort, and maybe Ana's Biotic Grenade, he can still be shut down whether you're playing as him or against him.
