Overwatch: PS4 Gameplay #12 (QP - Never Take Long Sits!)
This is my first session between both PS4 and PC versions of Overwatch during the Chinese New Year of the Rooster event. However, I don't really get to do too much to show that off in this video.
I mainly wanted to highlight a mistake I made in one of my matches. Never stay in your character's Sitting emote for too long, even if you are at a comfortable position.
In Temple of Anubis on Defense, no one was on the second point, because the rest of my team were keeping the enemy away from it near the 1st point. I brought it upon myself to guard the point as Genji, and have him meditate while patiently waiting for an enemy to slip by and sneak his or her way to the point, where I would then gladly greet them with shuriken to the face and a sword through their neck.
Unfortunately, what I didn't realize at the time is that every one's Sitting emote, is entirely a non-action, and if the game notices a non-action for about 40 seconds, the person responsible for it immediately gets kicked out of the match.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset about this, but it is my fault, because my team was in a REALLY good position when this happened. I can only hope that they even still won the match, either without me, or whoever replaced me after I got kicked.
To make up for it, I decided to use Genji again in the next match In Lijiang Tower, and put in A LOT more work with him in that match than I did in Anubis, allowing my team to win. I even got Play of the Game!
"I will not waste this chance..."
------------
One more word of advice, don't contest Reinhardt's Charge with Genji's Swift Strike. That does Genji as much good as Scissors beating Rock.
I'm not a fantastic player, but at least you can learn some Dos and Don'ts out of these matches.
