Welcome back everybody! To Let's play Oxygen Not Included Gameplay, part 2. The colony construction have started, now we need to make sure we have food! For now oxylite will provide our colony with needed oxygen! But we can start to prepare for it as well by building Algae Deoxydizer who will turn power and algae in to oxygen! However we have bigger problems we need to worry right now of in Oxygen Not Included and that is food! Each colony in Oxygen Not Included starts with a small ration box that will provide us with a few days or rather cycles of food before starvation will hit the colony! We need to establish an research center from the station menu in Oxygen Not Included and build ourselves research station! For now one will do, if you want to make more research points you have to just build more stations. The research station i n Oxygen Not Included will need dirt in order to work and will only make us green science points! For the more advance researches we will need to build the super computer research station that will provide us with blue research points. As Oxygen Not Included is still in Early access I think soon there will be more research points and more reserach stations! First things first. We need to research an planter! That will allow us to establish our first farm! But for farming we will also need seeds. Seeds can be found around in the closed of caves! Remember tho that thoes caves most of the time are vacumes and you will need a bit more oxygen to level up the presure and allow duplicants to move in to the new opened caves! The monsters around Oxygen Not Included for now are harmless, they won’t attack your workers or your colony however the way they behave may be the downfall. Some of the monsters will try to eat minerals you will mine and loosing sand to a hungry monster is not the best way to survive in Oxygen Not Included. Before the farms will be ready You may run out of food as plants need time to grow and you may not have enough seeds to start a full scale farm in Oxygen Not Included! There is a solution to starvation. To get food at beginning of Oxygen Not Included its also possible to make food out of dirt! Its not the most healthy good in Oxygen Not Included and also not the best one you can find but its better then just starve your colony! Microbe Musher is the device you need. It can turn dirt and a bit of clean water – that you should easily find in the beginning of Oxygen Not Included in to rations of food! But remember to establish those farms as soon as possible as those food bars from the musher are not the best solution and running too long on them will b e the downfall of Your space colony! Remember all the devicies in Oxygen Not Included run on power! The Algae Deoxydizer, the research stations, the Microbe Musher. From the start only the farms and the outhouse will not need any power! With the farming reserached you can also build Algae terrarium and compost. Those are very useful at the beginning of the game and the compost should be build some where close to the outhouses but not too close to the most busy sections of your space colony in Oxygen Not Included as it will generate bad smell and make the decor fall as well – and those are the things that you may want to avoid at the beginning – I mean there are more important problems then too high stress level just at the start.
