Pac-Man World 2 Time Trials - The Bear Basics (0:21)
This is a video of me completing the Pac-Man World 2 The Bear Basics time trial in my record of 21 seconds!
Completing this time trial anywhere under 25 seconds is pretty hard. Any little mistake can contribute to your loss of time, and so it is important that you do not allow any mistakes to occur. Charging your rev-roll at 0:12 will save you about two seconds. Rev-roll across the water at 1:10, because doing so can save you nearly four seconds! Well, good luck with this time trial, and I hope that this video gave you a lot of extra helpful hints!
And don't forget to watch my next video, where I beat the Canyon Chaos time trial in 3 seconds! Definitely not an easy task...
Here's some general tips on what to do in these time trials:
1. Always rev-roll whenever you have the chance, like when you have a good distance to cross, as this will save you much time when compared to walking the distance.
2. Sometimes, shortcuts may be misleading. The longer route may contain more time clocks, which might in the end give you a better time.
3. Also make sure you collect the stopwatch at the right time, too. The timing of doing this may affect moving platforms and enemy positions later in the level.
4. Do not collect a 4-second time clock and then a 2-second time clock immediately after, as you will lose time. Only collect the 2-second time clock if more than two seconds have already ticked by in your 4-second time clock.
5. Flip-kicking in mid-air can reduce your altitude when you jump, helping you when you need to get to the ground quick after crossing a slight gap, so you can rev-roll immediately after. However, I have no evidence that flip-kicking for every jump will increase your speed, as opposed to jumping normally.
6. Try flip-kicking crates open instead of butt-bouncing on them, as you will save a slight amount of time. Rev-rolling into crates from a distance is also a viable option for saving time, but only if there's enough room to do so.
7. Walking or swimming in water will slow you down, so jumping or rev-rolling over as much of a body of water as possible will save you a considerable amount of time.
