Panzer Dragoon | Sega Saturn Playthrough | Real hardware
0Panzer Dragoon is an enjoyable game. The lock on homing missile system is great and you can also fire quickly if you want to get quick damage on a boss.
Most of the levels I felt like I just scraped through and it’s really annoying to die late in the level because there are no checkpoints and the levels are really long.
It took me a few attempts to do as opposed to the second game which I did on my first try. The amount of lives that you are given is paltry on Normal difficulty. The last boss is also very difficult and with limited lives you don’t get much opportunity to create a strategy.
There are only 7 levels but that is fine for a game like this that takes about an hour to complete. Like the star fox games. Not as good as star fox but a great game in its own right.
