I cleared the red streamer portion. I believe there are only 5 color streamers you have to clear each taking roughly 5 hours. I played this portion of the game for about 5.5 hours. So the game should take me roughly 26-28 hours to get through. Thinking about it in those terms doesn't excite me.

I think what doesn't grab me immediately is the boss battles. My brain doesn't work that fast and I don't want to burn coins to give me more time or hype the Toads. So, my strategy is working backward from the inside ring to the outside ring. Identify my destination then place the arrows accordingly. It seemed to work well near the end of the last boss battle.

The game is oozing charm, but not the right charm for me. I'm finding all the quipping toads a little annoying, but I need them to unlock stuff so they are a necessary evil. The jokes are skewing a little younger than I was hoping. Y'know, I'm still early on and there is plenty of game left to play. So I'm going to keep an open mind and hope I get better at the game, and embrace the humor.
