The first in a line of alternate resin sculpts of character models for Para Bellum's Conquest, this figure is also the first time a resin Conquest model had an entirely different optional build.
Admittedly the build isn't a whole lot different, but it's appreciated still.
I like the bulked out look this guy is sporting. It was a bit tough spotting all the details on the painted samples, so seeing him in the raw makes it easier to figure out what's what.
His shoulder pads did NOT want to cooperate with me. There's no dedicated spot for them to attach, making it a bit frustrating figuring out where exactly they need to sit. It also didn't help that I was building three or four other models at the same time that didn't have clearly defined spots for their parts (but that's a whole other gripe session).
I think the biggest limiting factor is the price. He ain't cheap, even with the online discounters, which is a shame, as it's a nice little model. Sure he's a thick and chunky dwarf with even bulkier armor, but even that doesn't necessitate a heftier price tag in my opinion.
