Arena Rex- Septimus and Cato!
58Time for some more gladiators!
Today we have Septimus of the Ludus Magnus along with Cato, the exile of the East. Both have some interesting backstory bits to them you can read up on at the Arena Rex site (linked below).
Having built a few of the more delicate gladiators from the line, I was pleasantly surprised to see much more solid models in their packages. Septimus is a pretty solid figure despite his fragile- looking spear, and Cato is a pretty solid model. While both models needed a bit of cleanup it was nowhere near what I had to deal with when building the Legio XIII. Plus it's nice when models have both feet on the ground, giving them a nice solid foundation to stand upon!
While I have a small fighting pit printed now, I feel like I need a much larger amphitheater to properly play the game.
Hopefully I'll have one printed by the time we get to game again in person!
