GW- Are the Myrmidesh Painbringers more modular than they appear?
I was looking for Sigvald the other day, but they didn't have him... so I settled for some Myrmidesh. That was okay since I wasn't footing the bill, and it looked like an interesting kit to build.
I figured everything was a static pose and that was that.
Well it is... and it isn't. If you don't mind a tiny bit of snipping and gluing, this unit is a lot more versatile than it first appears.
While the Myrmidesh heads have specific bodies they slot into, that isn't the case for the Twinsouls- they just glue on any torso they fit (which is all of them). Cut the tabs off the Myrmidesh and you have a lot more posing options, even if the helmets are quite similar outside of their ornamentation.
The weapons are even more versatile. They all glue flat to the chest and all the various shoulder pads work fine in accommodating the arms.
My unit may not be tournament legal, but they'll make a fine (and fabulous) warband for skirmish gaming (and probably an inevitable WarCry group as well).
