Part 1: Intro
It Starts.
Note the new visual style, the new character design - and, above all, the music! After playing this game, I took an interest in Yuki Kajiura's works this far. I discovered that Episode 2 bears many similarities to the music she made for the .hack animes, but with Episode 3 things... changed. Out went the light, the driving synth riffs, and in went something darker, something actually scary. (Just check out Fate/Zero! The drums there, man...)
I don't know what happened in her life to effect this change, but my opinion to the music change from '... Oh, brother...' in Episode 2 to 'AWESOME-SAUCE' in Episode 3. While I very much like what Yasunori Mitsuda brought to the series (FUN FACT: only videogame soundtrack I've ever bought twice - the original release and Mitsuda's own Episode 1 PLUS release), I am of the opinion that sci-fi worlds mesh better with a more electronic soundscape - like what Kajiura brought. I wasn't so sure at first, but this game proves that they found a worthy replacement. She's got this.
