This is not the part of the gate that opens, this is one of the poles at the end.
@CrashHard is a master at making metal seem like metal and steel seem like steel. He likely could make it a lot more realistic. Those things likely do not boing around when hit. Guessing they likely would not even bend, but bust loose if held by concrete and fall over. I don't know, never ran into one in real life.
