You might think the Hardy ship has a difficult time scoring long combos in Hard mode, but that's not entirely true. It seems to have a longer-than-average combo meter, and its low speed combined with its short range gives it good control over the path of its particles, which are also quick to regroup after being dispersed in a fan formation. Add to that its shield, which will absorb one collision, and as its name implies, the Hardy ship is built to survive. Just be careful around fast-moving walls.
