Saw this game on Steam, and had to pick it up because it sounded like a really cool blend of a Roguelike/Metroidvania/Pokemon game, and I like all these kind of games. This game came out March 2, 2023, and was published by Curve Games and developed by Lychee Game Labs (which I've never heard of). The reviews currently for this game on Steam are mid 90's, which is really good!

So far, I am having a lot of fun! It definitely is cool that mounts all have their own unique set of abilities, and by using the varied mounts, you unlock even more abilities for them. On top of abilities, the mounts seem to have varying traversal abilities, such as flying, or moving slower/faster. To capture and tame a mount, you have to lasso it and circle it (sometimes a few times), and then, if successful, you will be able to ride it around and level it up for a certain amount of time.

There can be a lot going on on-screen, and so many buffs/debuffs, that I am going to have to take some time to really figure everything out that this game has to offer. There seems to be so many layers of mechanics that it felt a little overwhelming on my first run, but to be honest, not in a bad way. I really enjoy a game that has a lot to offer, and this game seems to be doing it right! Will definitely be playing this for a while...it feels very "just one more run" to me πŸ‘
