Another quest starting at Desert without the Dismount Mates perk. This time, it wasn't an option, and I chose Waterproofing instead. This gives me an immunity to negative status effects. This comes in handy a handful of times (no puns intended), although it's not a Conga Line of perpetual motions like Dismount Mates is.
During the Clan Emerald fight, I realized that Coppra is immune to damage from the electric bolt attacks because of the Venomous perk Coppra has. This makes the attacks only drain 1 Energy instead, although I eventually realized that means I should limit how much I get hit by it anyway.
I originally got the Moodstone since I remembered it's a Danger pin that I could plant. However, I remembered something after I found the empty space to pin it to: wouldn't Frezerries be worse, since Spicy Swap is an actually useful perk? I thus decided not to plant the pin, which would instead be brought back to the base. Yet another inbalance formed between Shiny and Not Shiny pins.
On this runthrough, I used Elliot to dash through the beginning section. I was much more careful with the Cracktus this time compared to last time, only getting hit once by that pin. Along the path, I had to switch out Elliot for Coppra since I was at low HP. I switched from Coppra to Gummalopicus just before the boss. The abilities my Gummalopicus had (mostly the piercing shot and the absorbing Defense move) made the boss easy, even with low HP. With 4 minutes and 20 seconds left to spare before getting Radiation Poisoning, I managed to grab the Treasure and escape!
After clearing that dungeon without horrible illness, I headed towards the odd path in the Desert that goes between the two Dungeons that housed the halves of what looked like the same Idol. It seemed like the quickest way forward would be to Hot Air Balloon to the start and go from there. Unfortunately, I was defeated in a random battle on the way there.
