4We’ve reached the final chapter and let me tell you, I go all in to wreck my carefully protected babies in the last 45 minutes. However, we will uncover a few secrets, listen to the boring epilogue by the Bonafide Bizarre Podcast (I will not subscribe) and then replay a bit to make sure that my favourite three characters make it through the night. Wanna find out who that might be?
Also, believe it or not but I guess I collected enough evidence to convince some randos. Not sure about that outro, given the initial little cartoon video that told us to collect evidence to evade an accidental police charge, I was pretty underwhelmed by the actual outro (even though I apparently nailed it).
All in all, I loved the characters, the chaotic good story, the gameplay was mostly smooth, the choices did feel mostly meaningful as did the dialog options, and I think despite the long length, this game did not have any pacing issues or felt like it outstayed its welcome. I also want to get back to play it again and I think it's very replayable for achievements and different endings.
The ugly: I am not sure about the outro, I think for the sake of drama, a lot of the characters acted less logical/smart than they could have, some of the plot logic was - for me - either not fully coherent or too confusing (e.g., I completely lost track of the werewolves in place and who was were and bitten by who and I think this could have been conveyed better throughout the story). There are some story choices towards the end (because I replayed the last chapter, I can only speak for this one), that had no effect on the outcome except a few more dialog lines and I think that the walking speed and the sometimes big environments were unbalanced regarding the amount of secrets/tarot cards you've found. Lots of useless walking into a corner with nothing to show for it which was not really fun. But that's really all (yes, this is the bigger paragraph but mainly because I wanted to explain properly instead of just saying that something sucked).
