This time, you can choose the true ending. Doing so causes Franz to show up instead of Alberich, who reminds Rean to use the sidequest item. Osborne, Arianrhod, and Rutger tell him to use it to force Ishmelga out of his body and soul.

Ishmelga isn't done yet, since he still has the power of the Great One, albeit incomplete. Fortunately, all the guest characters show up to help us fight all of Ishmelga-Loge's body parts. Also, Claire and Lechter will provide Brave Orders.

There are actually three somewhat concurrent battles. The main battle against Ishmelga cannot be won easily without All-Cancel spam, since the other sub-bosses will cast defensive buffs. You have to switch to the other teams and take out the body parts, which are all really weak by the standards of the endgame.

Overall, this feels like a step down from Azure Demiurgos.

Ishmelga flees to another dimension, but Rean and Millium follow him. As a black blob with many eyes, Ishmelga tries to argue that his curse is for the benefit of humanity, since it forces them to innovate in order to survive conflict. However, Rean wants a world where humanity is no longer dependent on him and prepares to kill him. Ishmelga transforms into the black Sword of the End, but is sliced apart by the Millium Sword of the End.

Osborne congratulates Rean for ending the curse and goes into the afterlife with his fellow Immortal awakeners.

44:05 Aftermath

Rean's hair changes back to normal, but it's hard to tell because I gave him his black hair costume. Crow and Millium are saved by the power of the two Sept-Terions. I wonder if Lloyd would approve of this considering he didn't want to rely on the Sept-Terion of Zero's power, though I guess the difference is that the Great One's power is going to disappear soon anyways, so we may as well make use of it.

Franz says goodbye to Alisa as he fades away. Too bad Irina and Gwyn don't get closure with him.

Rufus plans to take the blame for the entire Ironbloods so that Claire and Lechter can help fix the country. Unfortunately, Cedric have forever sullied his reputation as Crown Prince, so he decides to join Ouroboros. While I don't agree with his decision, it's also true that his position would invite more scrutiny than the other Ironbloods if he did try to take the "join the good guys" route. Plus, Shirley is probably the most accepting of him after everything he's done, which gives him more reason to follow her.

1:03:39 Epilogue

This time, Erebonia is facing the global scrutiny that Crossbell faced at the end of Azure. Rocksmith tries to go easy on them because he knows about the curse, but ends up demanding reparations due to public pressure.

Cedric's disappearance ends up being double-edged sword. On one hand, not having Cedric around to answer for his actions makes the imperial family look sus. On the other hand, Erebonia can now dodge the decision about whether or not to punish him, which would be bad for PR no matter the choice, thus giving Olivert and Alfin a chance to become the new face of Erebonia.

Jurai's place in Erebonia is hotly contested, since they did benefit economically.

For some reason, the IDF still tries to occupy Crossbell, even after the army withdrew and Rufus himself condemned their actions.

We put Millium's soul into a spare body that Franz prepared. I knew Altina's bonding event should have been mandatory!

After making a clear save, reload the epilogue save to see a Celestial Globe meeting. The Grandmaster states the end of the world is going to happen in a different way in a few years.
