Pathologic 2 (Day 2, part 3)
0We walk through the night in the Town-on-Gorkhon and find that the place is getting worse at an alarming rate. We're attacked several times as we travel through the night, though we manage to defend ourselves, and we come to find that parts of the Town are already being cordoned off by orders of Bachelor Dankovsky. We're provided 2 immunity-boosting tablets and a facemask, and are allowed to enter the restricted zone since Dankovsky vouched for us as being a doctor. Walking through the infected district, we find what appears to be soot of black spores raining from the sky, as well as strange concentrations of these spores clouding parts of the street. We manage to get through without becoming infected and make it to the Termitary to speak with Taya Tycheek, another of the children on the list Isidor left us. The men guarding the entrance are under strict instructions: no one in, no one out, and they make it clear they're more than willing to employ violence if necessary to carry their orders out. We leave before the situation gets any uglier and head to the Broken Hearts pub. At the bar, we find Big Vlad's son, Young Vlad. We have an interesting conversation where we learn that, not only does he seem to have an altogether more respectful and humane attitude towards The Kin than his father, but that he and Isidor had an arrangement where Isidor was allowed to use an unoccupied factory building as a laboratory. Upon leaving the Broken Hearts, we head towards Aspity's house, where members of the Kin are said to gather after dark. After a series of disturbing conversations with everyone present, where it seems as though Aspity is spurring the Kin on towards rising up and taking over the Town, we leave and make our way to the theater to witness the next scene in their unusual production. On the way we stumble across the Dead Item Shop, run by the Fellow Traveler we met in the train on our way to the Town, the same man who inexplicably stepped out of a coffin. He trades trash and useless items in exchange for useful supplies. With no real option as we're starving, exhausted, and injured, we make a trade for some cans of food that manage to keep us going. We arrive at the theater and observe the bizarre performance, before we make the harrowing journey back to Isidor's lab for some much needed rest... -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/grayghostfox213
