Payday 3 - Syntax Error - Solo/All Bags/Overkill
0Payday 3's first DLC heist is finally here, and I'd say its pretty good. Not super big, not super long, but I am perfectly fine with a smaller heist that has some good design to it (Border Crossing from Payday 2 can screw right off).
The upper section being mostly private areas with easy access for unmasked players allows you to make several mistakes without wasting resources or needing to mask up to take down a guard or civilian, saving that for the second half of the heist in the basement. Get the keycard, the keypad code, turn off metal detector if need be, then head into the basement.
The basement is a fun little area. Lots of good movement opportunities, ways to sneak around guards, five areas with loot that has to be taken to the edge of the basement to decrypt them before taking the extras back up. Two ladders can be found that provide easy paths between server farms A and B, and D and E, which helps the player move around the whole basement area. Server farm C must be reached through the locked keycard door, with a QR code, or perhaps some fancy jumps.
After dealing with a couple guards, looping the necessary cameras, moving the civilians to safe spots (like the keycard door near entrance to the basement), moving bags can be made a cinch if the player brings a zipline bag, skipping the walk back up to the top floor which takes a significant amount of time, as well as sneaking past a guard.
Lastly, bags just need to be brought past what seems to be EVERY HUMAN BEING IN NEW YORK CITY to drop them off into the van. Passing bags to the AI or unmasked players can be a great help here, as well as cutting down the necessary trips with the Transporter skill, which is also a great help throughout the rest of the heist.
