BACK STORY:
Hey guys, Charriii5 here! Can you believe me singing in front of a real crowd, live? Yeah, me neither!
Anyway, so the reason why I was up there, or the occasion, better said, is the crowning of the High School Queen. Kind of like a Prom Queen sort of thing. Anyway, my friend asked to be given the chance to perform, playing the piano. Originally he was supposed to play while a teacher sang, but since the teacher couldn't be at the event, he asked me if I wanted to take part and help him. I immediately said yes, as I saw it as an opportunity to be heard and see if people ACTUALLY liked my singing or not. We practiced a lot that week and it certainly payphoned- I mean... paid off, (heh, heh). We were the event before the crowning, there were other performances, but each to premote their own candidate; we did it for the heck of it XD We were very nervous though, since we were the only programmed event, aside from the crowning, so the whole school, including parents, teachers, students, lunch ladies, everything had all ears on us. We had planned to only perform TWO songs, this one and one before it, called "Amor del Bueno" by Reyli Barba. Good thing we practiced a THIRD song, because by the time we finished THIS one, everyone wanted an encore. But to be quite honest, it feels freaking amazing to be up there and feel everyone's energy and to top it off, to know they like you. I couldn't believe everyone's reaction when they heard me sing alone (the other two were duets), especially since this one's in English. A lot of people's reactions when they heard me sing in that language was priceless, I must say XD But I loved it. And I'm pretty sure that it was THIS song that got me my next gig: Singing the Mexican National Anthym at my school. Downside? Alone. No music. Complete a capella and this time EVERYONE HAS TO hear me. Am I nervous? Of course! But I know everything will go great, since afterwards, everyone was supoorting me saying that I did great and that it was the best thing they had ever heard, etc. Thank you so much to everyone that supported me, I love you all!
