Pokemon Stadium 1 - Gym Leader Castle (Transfers) speedrun starts after pressing "Okay" at the team selection screen, and ends when the red cross is placed above the Rival's picture after winning. This run may be done off a completed file, but you must complete every battle in the Gym Leader Castle of Round 1.

You are allowed to used imported Pokémon from the GB Pokemon games during your run. However, the following additional rules are in place regarding Transferred Pokémon:

- Pokémon may only have moves from the following availability:
- Moves they learn through natural level up
- Moves they learn through a TM
- Moves they learn through a HM
- Moves they learn through Breeding (AKA, an Egg Move)
- Moves learned through special Pokémon distribution events, such as Surfing Pikachu and Growth Eevee. (These are referred to as "Event moves" from now on)
- Moves learned by a Pokémon in Generation 2 (Gold/Silver/Crystal) which then are traded back to Generation 1 (Red/Blue/Yellow) are allowed.
- Pokémon may not have both an Event move (which is not present within the "Egg Moveset" of said Pokémon) and an Egg move on the same moveset. This is because an Event move will not pass on through breeding.
- If a Pokémon (that cannot breed) learns a move through level up, they must be at that level at least for that Pokémon to be legal. For example: Mewtwo learns Amnesia at Level 77 in Generation 2, the earliest a Mewtwo could have the move. Thus, having a Mewtwo with Amnesia at Level 76 or below is banned.
- Pokémon must be of legal level. This means a Pokémon may not be at a level they would not normally be able to be obtained at. Most notably, this pertains to Dragonite being at least Level 55 and Mewtwo being at least Level 70.
- Pokémon must be of legal stats. As in, every stat must be able to be obtained through normal gameplay with no stat being greater than 15 DV+65535 Stat Experience total. The only exception to this is through the use of an exploit with the Day-Care within the Generation 2 games to gain Stat Experience without leveling up. Use of this trick is allowed.
- Using glitches to obtain Mew (or any other Pokémon for that matter) within the main-line Pokémon games is allowed. However, these Pokémon must abide to all the rules seen above.

After completion of the run, the Pokémon used must be shown (including stats and moves) through the Pokémon selection screen. Failure to do so will result in a Rejection of the submission.
