It's doable.

This video is the first in a series comprising a one hour recording of me launching and playing games randomly using only a Logitech F710 gamepad and a Gyration motion sensing remote - from a couch in my living room. Since I own a number of Wii, Playstation 2, Gamecube and Dreamcast titles in addition to PC games, I have all the games I own from the various platforms ripped and ready to run in my HTPC (Home Theater PC) system.

Apologies for the recording quality: My Blackmagic Intensity Pro capture card has died recently, and I have to resort to recording off-screen from my mobile phone.

apps used:
Gamebrowser II frontend for Media Center
Pinnacle Game Profiler to control media center from the gamepad, as well as emulating wii mote controls
my own DDDC Auto.Switch utility, configured to run with PC games only (Wii/PS2/DC/GC don't have true surround sound)
