(PC) Sneaky Claymore on Strut L Oil Fence - Extreme Difficulty (Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance)

Normally you would see a claymore hidden just behind a pillar on the third pontoon bridge with the thermal goggles equipped.

However when I first encountered this particular problem and thought it was a game bug(lol), I failed to think about adjusting my sniping position. Imagine the surprise I got when this happened all of a sudden even though all "visible" claymores on the bridge were destroyed.

Basically the game would troll you, thinking all is safe and then Emma gets blasted into the sea out of nowhere. Either funny or upsetting...

The mentioned claymore is invisible even with thermal goggles on the Strut L Oil Fence on Extreme Difficulty if you don't aim fron the correct angle(pretty smart). I was just relaxing from getting this far and getting close to the end to unlock the blue wig but well...this happened.

It's hard to explain text-wise, please watch the video to get a clear understanding.

Before recording this video I also tried blindly shooting that specific spot from the starting position but obviously this failed.

And I know that I was pretty annoyed by the Fortune and Harrier Boss Fight during my Extreme Playthrough. Well...all that hassle just for a blue O2 Wig which actually is useless but...I still want to complete my collection of collectables here.

After thinking about adjusting my sniping position to the farthest right of my starting position of this section I was able to get rid of the claymore after all and thus can continue completing my Extreme Playthrough with all Dog Tags. Phew...

The GOG Version with V's Fix is shown here. However it's not available for purchase anymore. I can't provide a game page for that matter.
