PCSX2 Tutorial for Ace Combat 5 and Ace Combat Zero on Low End PC (i3 1.7 GHz, 8 GB RAM, GT820M)
"And thanks, friend. See you again"
- Pixy a.k.a Galm 2 from Galm Squadron in ACZ
"So, it's a trick?"
- Chopper a.k.a Wardog 3 from Wardog Squadron in AC5
After messing with the settings for almost 2 months or even more, then playing both of the iconic Ace Combat Series and for the first time, Beating Its Campaign/Story on PS2 Emulator, PCSX2.
Both game that I mentioned is Ace Combat 5 : The Unsung War and Ace Combat Zero : The Belkan War, there's not much to tell about both of those game, both of it is awesome, that's all.
And with Ace Combat 7 still hasn't released even there's almost no news about that, it's a good time to play again AC5 and ACZ for nostalgia, if you have Low End PC like mine, then don't
worry, I have already arranged the settings, and be sure to watch the tutorial video carefully.
By the way, due to complexity and very many explanation, this video is divided to 3 phase:
1. Tutorial and PCSX2 Setiings -- 00:35
2. Testing and Comparison -- 07:47
3. Conclusion -- 11:04
Unfortunately I can't tell you the settings here (because Youtube restricted too long description).
So if you want to see the settings and steps on configuring the PCSX2 for AC5 and ACZ, see here: https://ouo.io/ootBUC
Noticed issues:
- Cutscenes voice on mission may be unsynchronized sometimes.
- NO CLOUDS EFFECTS, you must change the plugin video from OpenGL to Direct3D 11 Software, but it's really decrease the emulation's performance too.
- There's still some slowdowns on some missions
- Sometimes PCSX2 can crashes after you failed a mission and wanted to retry
