In this episode of Frackin Universe gameplay, we start to properly fiddle with genes, having set up our proper gene lab and greenhouse area. We try extracting a few things to see how we can design some mutavisk seeds, but we need to go offplanet to find the right crops to produce hardened shell genes.

We visit a mountain planet and find a great source of ores, including sulphur (which we later extract to sulphuric acid to make batteries), but it turns out we can craft and extract genes from basic corn to get what we want.

We start growing mutavisk from seed, which gives us time to go make a powered powder sifter, which turns out to be a good source of a few things. Once the mutavisk is grown, we can make biothread, which allows us in turn to craft Mutavisk Helm and two other pieces of armour, which will greatly enhance our radiation protection beyond the Radiation EPP up to 50%.
