Welcome back to my channel, dear gamers. As promised, today we'll dive back into the world of N64 games which we last visited a year ago with the walkthrough of GoldenEye 64. Due to that, i figured that it was more than appropriate to record its successor, Perfect Dark so sit back, relax and enjoy the gameplay.

Please note that this walkthrough will be split into nine parts which will consist of all levels corresponding to one of the game's nine missions, which means that each part of this walkthrough will cover from one up to three actual levels of the game, depending on the setup of each individual mission. Also, regarding certain visual issues which you may notice during gameplay, such as flickering red outlines around the characters in the cutscenes and glitch-like line in the upper left corner of the screen, they are incorrigible issues arising from the emulator plugin used to play through this game as it is the only one i can use that won't adversely interact with my recording software (read; brick my emulator the moment i try to record gameplay footage). However, since the issues aren't too severe, they shouldn't affect the quality of the overall video too much. Thank you for understanding and enjoy the video.

About Game: Perfect Dark is 2000 First-Person Shooter video game developed and published by Rare as Nintendo 64 exclusive. Released as a spiritual successor of Rare's 1997 smash hit, GoldenEye 64, Perfect Dark received outstandingly positive critical reception and won several awards upon release on account of its graphics, advanced artificial intelligence, music and multiplayer mode, often being recognized as one of the, if not the most advanced and technologically complex titles developed for Nintendo 64 and is sometimes counted in the ranks of the best video games of all time although the game'a inconsistent framerate was criticized. Due to this reception, Perfect Dark received a prequel, Perfect Dark Zero, which was released as Xbox 360 exclusive in 2005 and a remaster with upgraded graphics and online multiplayer in 2010. However, after relatively lackluster reception of Perfect Dark Zero, series went on an long haitus that lasted until 2020 when the reboot of Perfect Dark series was suddenly announced during the Game Awards show. Although there is no concrete release date yet, its release is anticipated.

Story of the game takes place in the futuristic depiction of the year 2023 and follows Joanna Dark, young agent of an research organization called Carrington Institute whose excellent combat prowess earned her an nickname Perfect Dark. With Carrington Institute being locked in an fight with the rival research organization and megacorporation called DataDyne, Joanna is sent to DataDyne's headquarters in Chicago in order to locate and extract the defected researcher named Caroll before he is put through a mind conditioning, her mission being made more complicated by the fact that Caroll's name is the only information Institute possesses about Joanna's target. Infiltrating the building via its rooftop, Joanna makes her way into the CEO's office where she confronts and knocks out the company's CEO Cassandra De Vries in order to acquire the biometric key needed to acces the facility's lower levels where Caroll is held. However, after fighting her way into the research facility in the building's lower levels, Joanna quickly discovers that Caroll is not a human researcher but rather an artificial intelligence. With no other choice but to protect it as they both escape back towards the building's rofotop helipad in order to leave, Joanna is confronted by Cassandra who tries to have her killed by her elite bodyguards and ultimately confronts her on the helipad, demanding the return of Caroll's AI with Joanna refusing and managing to escape...
