Yakuza 2 Walkthrough Part 14: The Go-Ryu March
Shortly following Kawara's death, Kiryu, Haruka, Kaoru, Tamiyo and Date follow Kage as he returns to the Purgatory due to his surveillance center in Millennium Tower having been destroyed by Jingweon with Kaoru revealing to have collected a disc from Kurahashi's belongings, intent on cracking its data in order to potentially find out more about her mysterious half-sibling and Daejin Kim, two Jingweon survivors who remain unaccounted for. However, due to the computers in Purgatory not being sophisticated enough to break the disc's encryption, Kaoru decides to head back to Osaka in order to use the police computers there in order to breach the encryption while Kiryu remains intent on preparing for Go-Ryu Clan's impending invasion of Kamurocho. Once Kaoru leaves for Osaka, Kiryu is contacted by Date who tells him that Kazuki, who is still recovering from the gunshot wound sustained several days prior, has woken up and apparently started talking nonsense about bombs. Rushing to Emoto Clinic to hear him out, Kiryu, Yuya and Date are shocked to learn that Kazuki spent six months as the prisoner of Jingweon mafia with his Korean impostor having ran Stardust during that time and even more worryingly, that Jingweon's ultimate plan of revenge upon Tojo Clan includes the complete destruction of Kamurocho through a series of 33 bombs planted all over the district, the number of bombs being symbolic of the number of Jingweon members killed by Tojo Clan in 1980, although recent detonation of one of the bombs hidden within Millennium Tower and deactivation of the one prepared by Kurahashi means that there is actually 31 remaining explosive. With this horrifying development, Date decides to tip off Tokyo Police in order for them to send out an EOD squads that would disable the bombs while Kiryu decides to seek Tojo Clan's assistance with actually searching the city for hidden explosives, to that end heading to their headquarters in order to notify Yayoi, Kashiwagi and Daigo with Daigo deciding to personally rally Tojo Clan soldiers and lead them into Kamurocho in order to both locate Jingweon's explosives and fight off incoming Omi Alliance members led by Ryuji Goda. However, upon arriving to the Purgatory after being contacted by Date, Kiryu discovers that police won't search for the bombs both due to unverifiable nature of Kazuki's claim and the fact that Date is still considered an fugitive and murder suspect, making his tip-off inadmissible. As Kiryu, Daigo, Date and Kage realize that they are completely on their own regarding the task of both locating and disarming Jingweon's explosives in Kamurocho and stopping Go-Ryu Clan's invasion, Kiryu decides to take the lead on the latter, urging Daigo and Kage to focus on helping Tojo Clan locate and disarm the explosives, although the task remains daunting due to the size of Kamurocho and number of explosives hidden throughout the district with Kage commenting that the search for the explosives would be easier if Purgatory's long-abandoned surveillance system were still active. Just then, Majima enters the office and to the shock of everyone present, reveals to have actively maintained the hidden surveillance system during his stay in the underground district, allowing Daigo and Kage to co-ordinate Tojo Clan and Majima's men as they spread out throughout the district in order to track down and disable the explosives. As he leaves Purgatory, Kiryu is contacted by Tobe, Emoto and Yuya, whose respective establishments have been attacked by Go-Ryu Clan members looking for Kiryu. Despite the streets of Kamurocho swarming with Go-Ryu members, Kiryu makes his way to Bantam, Emoto's clinic and finally, Stardust where he finds a group of Go-Ryu yakuza overpowering and beating Yuya with Ryuji Goda himself observing the scene from the club's upper floor. Enraged at Ryuji's willingness to hurt an innocent man in order to draw him out, Kiryu engages all present yakuza in an brawl and upon defeating them, collapses from exhaustion with Ryuji descending to confront him and, despite having Kiryu at his mercy, opts to spare him, revealing that bombing Kamurocho with dozens of explosives was Jingweon's own agenda unconnected to Go-Ryu Clan and inviting Kiryu to "the very top of Kamurocho" once he deals with all bombs left throughout the district so that they could finally settle their differences in an proper fight...
