Yakuza 2 Walkthrough Part 16: Endgame (FINAL BOSS FIGHTS & ENDING)
3After seeing Kaoru's message, Kiryu and Date return to Serena with Kiryu proceeding towards Kamurocho Hills while Date promises to look after Haruka should something happen to him. Despite Jingweon death squad being sent after him, Kiryu makes his way to the Kamurocho Hills construction site in Purgatory. Making his way to the top of the unfinished construction, he witnesses Kaoru confronting Ryuji and revealing that they are half-siblings, much to Ryuji's shock. This is confirmed by Jin Goda, who was also brought to Kamurocho Hills and who tells the truth about his relation to Ryuji; Immediately after Jingweon massacre, Jin met Suyeon and took her and her young son in, deciding to care for them after falling in love with Suyeon. However, after she fell in love with another man, actually Kawara, she left with Jin not objecting, aware that she stayed with him out of neccessity rather than love, but convincing her to leave her son in his custody with the boy ultimately growing up as Jin's son while Suyeon went on to concieve Kaoru with Kawara shortly before she was murdered. Unphased by Jin's confession, Ryuji reveals that he spent his entire life trying to find a way to surpass his adoptive father and started co-operating with Jingweon purely to that end, not caring about their vendetta against Tojo Clan. Observing the entire scene, Kiryu steps up to challenge Ryuji to a direct fight which he accepts. Following a brutal brawl from which Kiryu emerges victorious, he is faced with a shocking revelation; Yukio Terada is alive and is actually the final Jingweon survivor, Daejin Kim, who has led Jingweon from the shadows all along. Dead-set on revenge for Tojo Clan's massacre of Jingweon members in 1980, Terada reveals that he faked his death in order to manipulate Kiryu into unwittingly provoking Ryuji into starting a war with Tojo Clan, which was supposed to be destroyed by the stronger adversary. However, with Kiryu having averted the war and eliminated all of his co-conspirators, Terada reveals one last ace in the hole; A large bomb hidden on the very top of Kamurocho Hills which he intends to detonate in order to destroy Kamurocho before him and his Jingweon henchmen attack Kiryu in order to kill him with Kiryu successfully beating them all up. Just as it seems that all adversaries were defeated, Ryo Takashima appears, revealing that while apparently loyal to Omi Alliance and Jin Goda, he worked with Terada behind the scenes to destroy Tojo Clan in order to assume control over Omi Alliance which would then absorb weakened Tojo, making him undisputed leader of the Japanese criminal underworld. As he does, he kills Terada and Jin Goda, former for no longer factoring in his plans and former in order to remove the current leader of Omi Alliance, also shooting Kiryu several times. However, using the last of his strength, Terada reveals that he never really trusted Takashima and triggers the bomb atop Kamurocho Hills, urging Kiryu to trust him with his dying breath. With the bomb set to detonate in less than 10 minutes, Takashima starts panicking and takes Kaoru hostage after she tries to subdue him with Kiryu grabbing Kaoru's revolver but refusing to shoot at Takashima out of fear that he'd kill her. However, just before Takashima is able to use the moment to finish Kiryu off, Ryuji, who was unconscious after his brawl with Kiryu, gets up and starts to shoot at him from his own handgun in order to protect Kaoru, killing Takashima but suffering severe wounds in the process. With bomb detonation inching closer and both Kiryu and Ryuji being too injured to escape in time, they urge Kaoru to leave while she can as they decide to use last minutes of their lives to finish their fight with tearful Kaoru refusing. Heading to the top of Kamurocho Hills, two men engage in second, climactic brawl with Kiryu winning once again. On the verge of death, Ryuji uses the last of his strength to bid Kaoru farewell before passing away. With detonation countdown entering its last seconds and Kiryu unable to leave due to his injuries, Kaoru decides to die alongside him with two sharing a passionate kiss just as bomb's countdown ends
Several days later, Kiryu, Date and Haruka gather at Terada's actual grave as it is revealed that prior to being killed, he had removed the bomb's fuse, making it harmless and allowing Kiryu and Kaoru to survive with Kiryu expressing belief that Terada did it out of respect for Fuma, who had been his personal friend, ultimately redeeming himself in his last moments.
And with that, walkthrough of Yakuza 2, and until further notice, the rest of this series, ends on this channel.
