Perfect Playthrough 095: Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure
The past couple entries in this year's Twelve Games of Christmas were...interesting little experiments to say the least. While I liked NHL Hockey and Star Wars Arcade, I can see why some would not consider the previous three games a super hype lineup--Terminator especially.
But for our eighth game of Christmas, I will be taking things up a notch with our first really good Sega Genesis game newly added to our collection: Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure. An odd hodgepodge of Super Mario World with its branching pathways and sound affects, and Sonic the Hedgehog with its momentum-based gameplay, and yet the game plays like neither of these games. Once you let go of the jump button or the D-Pad, Buster stops dead in his tracks. In spite this, it's a very beginner-friendly platformer that can still be mildly challenging in its own right.
Perfect Playthrough conditions are simple: In addition to beating the game, we have to find every exit in every stage, and we have to clear all the bonus rounds.
