2We bring the Key to the Ancients to Bugenhagen and realize that Aerith had successfully called upon Holy. It's just being held back by Sephiroth at the Northern Cave. But before we make a plan of action, we hear from Cait Sith of Rufus' plan to use the Mako Cannon to nuke the barrier surrounding the Cave. Next thing we know, Diamond Weapon arises from the northern seas to attack Midgar, and the only thing we can do about it is grind a bit until he makes it to dry land. We steal the Rising Sun--which is unique and missable--then defeat the Weapon. I brought Yuffie and Red XIII along for their dialogue options.
