Perfect World Syndicate : Relinquish [ΦAssassin 1v1]
"Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go." - Hermann Hesse
A few of us would hold on to their belief that Perfect World before the age of genies was its prime; others would have you believe that it was Age of Spirits; some would claim Gensis or even Descent; or maybe even Sirens of War, Dawn of Spring and Rising Call. But no matter how many people want to come and say that the past was better, we must always move on. It is time to relinquish the past expansions. This is now a new age. This is New Horizons!
This expansion is certainly interesting. With Barbs and BMs getting unbreakable stun, Assassins receiving a massive DPS boost, Archers being completely overlooked, and Seekers and casters being gifted with skills which many people are debating over, there is certainly a lot of things to learn and relearn about this game.
So far, I have only met Assassins, Blademasters, Barbarians, and Archers in PvP. These three are now commonly seen as either the most Overpowered or most Underpowered classes, so I guess it makes sense that I haven't seen too many casters yet.
Many people dislike the new expansion, and I can see why. Many of new skills simplifies a lot of techniques that used to be considered sacred; from the ability to perfrom a perfect stun lock to the ability to properly chain DPH skills for maximum damage.
However, the expansion also introduces new skills that must be learned and mastered. The new assassin skills are a pain to control, as they come in multiple hits. Fighting Barbarian and Blademasters now require a lot more knowledge of how they chain their skills, as you must now fortify them selectively. As you can tell, I am still rather new to the timing and chi management of the new skills, causing me to make several mistakes. The real question is, is it as overpowered as people claim it to be? Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure, new knowledge awaits!
On Perfect World Syndicate, they recently introduced Deity stones, which I am now using. Deity stones grant +2 attack levels, which means fighting someone in Jade of Steady Defense means that we're essentially fighting unsharded. So far, I welcome the addition for the Assassin class, as it makes fighting Barbs and BMs less of a bore-fest. Will it be a different story for casters? I haven't fought enough to know yet.
Finally, I'm going to be trying something new with my videos. Previously, my videos will always include 2 tracks totaling 10 minutes or more. However, doing so means that I end up discard a lot more of my pvp footages because I often cannot find enough variety to fill all 10 minutes. If I cannot find enough footage, I just end up discarding all my recorded footages and start anew. For example, if I previously would have 7 hours of 1v1 but no mass pk, I would just throw away all 7 hours of 1v1 until I find both 1v1 and mass pk. This however, was inefficient.
By doing videos of 6 - 7 minutes with only 1 track, I will be able to release more videos and more frequently, while discarding less footages. Let's see if this works out!
I hope that you enjoy this video!
