After some story and social link scenes, we fight the Emperor and the Empress. Which are so goofy looking I don't know how you're supposed to take them seriously.

For their fight, they change their singular weakness every few turns and fully block almost all other attack types. You're meant to use Fuuka to scan them with her ability and reveal all of their weaknesses. Which is something I think does wonders for the gameplay, because sometimes you really want to know what a boss can do and having to look up a guide for every single one pre-battle can just be annoying. It's limited to how much SP Fuuka has, but it's enough to use on a few bosses or problem enemies through a run of Tartarus, or in this case, the times the bosses will change weaknesses before you take them out. The bosses here themselves aren't too strong on their own, they just have the one gimmick to use. I like that this mechanic actually makes use of the navigator's stats rather than them being entirely flavor text like they are in other games.

Fuuka has some other abilities she can use, but those'll get introduced later.
