From the Author:
In terms of commentary, this update helps make Jon and Jim sound more like a real commentary team. In terms of audio, in V2 and earlier versions they were mostly separated from each other and their conversations between each other were out of place or incorrect. This update addresses a lot of those issues.
So firstly, I filled in all the missing commentary. All 1133 remaining comments are now filled in and have the correct context. These were actually the ones that are relevant to Master League/Cup/League/Become a Legend that happen during the match, at half-time, in full-time etc. So now those modes feel a lot better with contextual commentary when it comes to teams and players.
Secondly, I also went through another 1000+ comments and improved them to be more accurate and contextual. This covers commentary types such as kick-offs, formation talk, penalties, half-time, full-time and discussions between John and Jim. The
only area that hasn’t received a full update is the match presentations, as a single comment can take up to 40 seconds of conversation. That amount of conversation can eat up my ElevenLab character quota, and this update has already eaten up 175,000 characters. In fact, I had to buy a second account to get this update to the point where I’d be happy. In addition to
John and Jim’s comments, I’ve also added another 1179 player names to the pack, so hopefully the team will now name more players. I’m trying to close the gap between Peter Drury and Jim Beglin, there are just over 6000 names missing that Peter knows and John doesn’t. I’ll be filling that gap in each update.
This one has been sitting in the backlog for a while as I waited for Juce to release the latest Commentary Server.
Firstly, the installation files are different from the earlier pack, so I’d recommend deleting the old “use” folder from your Content/Commentary-Server directory.
So in terms of installation, the files from the download just need to be extracted into your PES\Data directory. Once you’ve done that, PES will instantly treat the commentary as a proper commentary language, so you’ll find US-English as a selectable option in the language settings. But most people will want to use it as their Commentary Server language, so by following the PES 2021 Sider Module Commentary Server v0.5 instructions , you can assign “use” to teams or tournaments now.
