The big bad arrives on the scene way earlier than usual. The pyscho wand can be used to weaken him a bit but it isn't required like it is for Zio. My advice is try your best to keep everyone above 100 health minimum at all times. He is fairly slow so cast Saner at the start of the battle and everyone should outspeed him. Otherwise a fairly fun boss. Keep in mind dark force is part cybernetic in this game. But no shock will not work (it is a boss afterall instakill doesn't work on them unless they suck.) This is probably the second boss in the game I'd consider to be fairly hard the first being Zio.
