Phantom Breaker is a 2D fighting game that supports two distinctive fighting styles, the player is able to choose between "Quick" style and "Hard" style. Quick style focuses on quick hits and combos while the other is more about defense.

PB is a 4 Button Fighter with three primary attack buttons (A, B, C) and a special button for Phantom Breaker specific mechanics (SP):

A- Light Attack

B- Medium Attack

C- Heavy Attack

SP- Special Attack

A+B- Overdrive:
When players have 100% Burst gauge, they can activate Overdrive. Overdrive is a versatile tool with many offensive and defensive applications.
Overdrive Startup activation provides invincibility and time freeze, similar to UNIST's Chain Shift. Once activated, players will enter a power-up state that regenerates red life faster and all attacks are considered special attacks, giving them properties such as chip damage or the ability to OTG relaunch.

C+SP- Phantom Breakers: PE are usually a character's Strongest attack, needing 200% of Burst gauge in order to access them.

6B- Universal Overhead

6C- Unique Heavy

Close 4C- Back Throw

Close 6C- Forward Throw

Special Attacks:

Using The (SP) with 4,2,6 will do one of three special attacks. Pressing L or H with SP will do Light or Heavy version of a Special attack.

5+SP-Counter Burst: Ground Counter Bursts can guard against and Clash with attacks to your upper body, stopping them and allowing you to counterattack. You can hold the Counter Burst button for a longer Ground Counter Burst window. If you stop an opponent's attack immediately after activating Counter Burst, it will reflect their attack back at them. The wind-up character does have some upper body invincibility.

j.SP- Air Counter Burst: Aerial Counter Bursts cannot be extended by holding the button, but they make you invincible to strikes and throws for a set period of time.

6+SP- Projectile or Rush Special Attack

2+SP- Reversal or Anti-air Special Attack

4+SP Unique Special Attack

Tokiya Kanzaki: The one of the male main characters in this game. He is the CEO of a pharmaceutical company and he is fighting in order to resurrect his parents, who were assassinated fifteen years ago. He uses a long sword named Setsuna.
