District 8 Councilwoman Felicita Mendoza celebrates National Service Recognition Day on April 2, 2019 with AmeriCorps VISTA Alum and District 8 staff member Natalya Brown. Natalya is one example of the City’s commitment as an Employer of National Service, creating a pathway to employment for alumni of AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps VISTA, Senior Corps and Peace Corps. This video was filmed and edited by Peace Corps alum Anthony Wieland, a Coverdell Fellow in the Phoenix City Manager’s Office through ASU’s School for the Future of Innovation in Society.
