Max was nervous for his courtroom debut, though it seems he always gets stage fright without his daily calcium intake. Once they enter court, Franziska was definitely the type to hold a grudge...as she still thinks the last trial "didn't count".
After Gumshoe gives the details of the case, they learn that the chest the ringmaster was leaning on didn't contain anything aside from a bottle of pepper...which was strange in itself. Next, Ben and Trilo were up to talk, and it seems they surprised the court when they learned that he got an engagement ring for Regina...the very same ring Wright and Maya found!
His testimony seems to be falling apart faster than he can put it back together, so it seems his bitter rivalry over Regina proved to be the the puppet's downfall. But...this was only the opening act. The next witness would prove to be a real balancing act...
