I believe that this is the exact point in the series that guaranteed Edgeworth his own spin-off games. For the first time we not only got to play as him during an investigation but now we would be playing him as a defense attorney, something he originally wanted to be when he was a kid. I love how Edgeworth uses his knowledge of how the prosecutor's office works against Franziska to his own benefit and for the first time the defense has a leg up in the case. So for the first and last time in a Phoenix Wright title, let's take control of Edgeworth and cross-examine some witnesses!
