Welcome back to the channel, where we take a second look at the Indy Car Mod in Automobilista 2. As you may remember, I already reviewed this mod against RFactor 2's version, but I wanted to revisit it and see how it holds up after some more testing and tweaking. And let me tell you, I am not disappointed.
First of all, let's talk about the driving feel. The Dallara IR18 indycar in this mod is a beast, but a controllable and responsive one. The weight distribution and aerodynamics feel just right, and you can sense the power and grip of the car at all times. The cockpit view is immersive and detailed, with realistic gauges, animations, and sound effects. You can feel the vibrations and G-forces as you push the car to its limits.
Speaking of limits, the vehicle physics in this mod are top-notch. The tire model, suspension, and aerodynamics are all well-tuned to deliver a satisfying and challenging driving experience. You can feel the tires heating up and wearing out as you drive, which affects your grip and handling - which can be seen in this video!
Another thing I appreciate about this mod is the attention to detail. The liveries, sponsors, and numbers are all accurate and well-researched, which adds to the immersion and authenticity of the experience.
Overall, I can confidently say that this Indy Car Mod in Automobilista 2 is a must-try for any AMS2 or Indycar fan. It offers a thrilling and realistic simulation of one of the most iconic motorsports in the world, and it does it with style and substance.
