Dino Crisis (PS1)
262Released for the PS1 in 1999 (ported to the DC and PC the following year) Developed by Capcom and Produced by Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil fame) Dino Crisis is basically Resident Evil with Dinosaurs instead of Zombies.
The kicker is this one's rendered in a full 3D engine unlike the Resident Evil games on PS1 with 2D pre-rendered backgrounds. Graphically it's really quite impressive for the old PS1. It doesn't quite have the voice acting or story line like a later RE game (1999) but it does have some great puzzles and the gameplay and graphics are smooth (if you can handle the tank controls)
It plays much like Code Veronica and sometimes the camera angles are fixed, other times they'll follow behind you depending on the scene. One nice improvement is that you can still walk forward and backward while drawing your weapon.
This is a great PS1 game overall my biggest complaint is it's way to easy on easy and a little too hard on hard with no medium or normal difficulty.
