Every battle stage has at least two layouts which are randomly chosen upon stage selection. Some even have three. So I'll scavenge as much as I can and see how varied these maps are.

This map has a symmetrical design, just like Layout A, but in a restricted "Held-up Muscular Arms" shape. Four of the Yellow Marbles are inside the "Head" and the Onions are at each "Hand". So taking a marble requires more distance to navigate the tube-like path.

Also, some Marbles will unearth Shearwigs when you dig them up. Sometimes a super-speedy one spawns which can devour Pikmin at a rate of 1 per second. Don't know if it's intentional or a glitch but it's annoying as it steals your numbers if you aren't there to kill it.

Watch as the advantage shifts between both players.

Music: Frontier Cavern. I wanted to try having a battle with music off to do this, but I actually like the Two Player battle theme better. Also, the game does a much better job with selecting parts of the music in accordance to what occurs on-screen. So this will be the only exception in the audio department.
