Pikmin 2 - Challenge Mode 25: Secret Testing Range
22Two players successfully clear the Secret Testing Range. It could be much better though.
The deal with the first Sublevel is the two Gatling Groinks you need to deal with. Make sure you don't get both of their attention at the same time, or you will find Pikmin dead quickly. Purples can stun them with a low success rate, but if it happens, they will be dead quickly.
You need to kill them first since they will prey on any Pikmin carrying things back to the pod.
Sublevel 2 gives you the Man-at-legs to fight, surrounded by a small body of water. Now whenever I played this stage, I always figured that you take the 10 Pikmin and cause as much damage as you can, then hide. Repeating this slow process for like 4 minutes. But it's actually possible to lure the boss away from the water, and use much more Pikmin to attack it, letting you defeat it faster. I kinda wish I had known this, since it would have been much more efficient. I don't know how well Danzonator (Player 2) knows that boss, so I stuck to fighting it myself.
