Olimar's Assignment is the first campaign of the Side Stories mode in Pikmin 3 Deluxe. It is unlocked after Captain Charlie is rescued from the Vehemoth Phosbat in the main story.
Olimar's Assignment revolves around Olimar and Louie having to pay off another debt of the Hocotate Transportation Company, this time by collecting fruits and Nuggets. It takes place before and during the main story. All of the days in this Side Story revolve around Olimar and Louie exploring the same main four areas the Koppaites explore in Story Mode, but with some layouts changed. All days start with a video log by Olimar, where he explains what he is doing, and incidentally shows Louie getting himself into trouble. These videos are the same videos found via Secret Files in Pikmin 3, though some lines of dialog are different.
