While our Hero falls sick, and trees are blocking our passage, we need to keep moving forward. In this first episode of "Let's Play Pillars of Eternity" our caravan will be overrun by an ambush and we are forced to go off in a new direction.

The hero in this playthrough is Lowko, a Nature Godlike from the Living Lands. Lowko used to be a Hunter, but is looking to settle down in new lands after a bad hunting season.

Pillars of Eternity is a fantasy role-playing video game from Obsidian Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux. It is notable for its crowd funding campaign on Kickstarter where it raised more than 4 million dollars.

Pillars of Eternity features a party-based real-time-with-pause tactical gameplay with a fixed user interface with a living game world. Lowko needs to make the decisions about what is going on in the world. While the mechanics of the game are not based on Dungeons & Dragons, the plot and setting feel very similar. The player has to explore the world, and has to make decisions based on the character they are playing.
