To save the woman's unborn child, we have to travel south towards Anslog's Compass. However, doing the quest we set out to do turns out to be more difficult than we thought.

The hero in this playthrough is Lowko, a Nature Godlike from the Living Lands. Lowko used to be a Hunter, but is looking to settle down in new lands after a bad hunting season.

Pillars of Eternity features a party-based real-time-with-pause tactical gameplay with a fixed user interface with a living game world. Lowko needs to make the decisions about what is going on in the world. While the mechanics of the game are not based on Dungeons & Dragons, the plot and setting feel very similar. The player has to explore the world, and has to make decisions based on the character they are playing.
