Pilot makes dramatic emergency landing after two small planes collide | Mashable
Two small planes collided in the skies over Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada, on Sunday, but the emergency landing skills of one of the pilots following the crash likely saved his life.
Footage shows a Cessna 185 crash landing onto a runway while still trailing debris from the initial collision. A man then runs from the aircraft towards emergency responders.
Two others died when the Cessna 185 and another four-seat Cessna 172 collided in mid-air. Those aboard the Cessna 172 died when their plane crashed to the ground, but the pilot of the Cessna 185 was able to navigate the plane to nearby Fort McMurray airport and escape without serious injury.
The pilot was the only person onboard the Cessna 185.
